The story behind KaiBlu
I'm a Cape Town–based builder and problem-solver with a background in Computer Science from IIE Varsity College. I'm passionate about creating digital products — from apps and workflows to full-scale web platforms — that make people's lives simpler and more efficient.
The inspiration behind KaiBlu is deeply personal. After the birth of my daughter, I saw firsthand how overwhelming it can be to find reliable parenting information online. My wife would often search for answers, only to be met with conflicting advice from countless sources.
That frustration sparked an idea: to create a single, trusted platform where parents can access clear, accurate information grounded in reputable organisations like WHO, AAP, and NHS. KaiBlu is my way of combining my technical passion with a meaningful purpose — building something that not only solves a real problem but supports families during one of the most important stages of their lives.

KaiBlu was born from a real moment — watching my wife search for reliable parenting answers and finding only noise. Every feature is shaped by that frustration.
AI with purpose
Technology should solve real problems. KaiBlu uses Claude AI not as a gimmick, but as the fastest path to trusted, source-cited answers from AAP, WHO, and NHS.
Quality over quantity
Every app and workflow in the KaiBlu collection is built to a high standard. I would rather ship one great thing than ten average ones.
Built for South Africa
KaiBlu starts at home — Cape Town, South Africa. Products priced for the local market, built with local parents in mind, expanding globally from a strong foundation.

How we got here
The idea sparks
After the birth of my daughter, I watched my wife struggle to find reliable parenting information online. The frustration of contradictory, unverified advice sparked the idea for KaiBlu.
Building begins
Started building KaiBlu Parenting Companion — a React Native app powered by Claude AI, grounded in AAP, WHO, and NHS guidance. First private beta tested with family.
KaiBlu launches
KaiBlu.co.za goes live as a curated marketplace of apps and AI workflows. The Parenting Companion launches on Android. The Dentist AI Agent goes into production.
What's coming
iOS App Store, Premium subscriptions, growth tracking, vaccination schedules, and new apps across different verticals — all built to the same standard.
